Review : Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure

Who miss High School Musical series? I do of course. I'm a fan of High School Musical series, and I was super excited when I heard Disney will create this movie. Actually, it's not really about High School Musical because High School Musical was over. It's about the most memorable character in High School Musical, Sharpay Evans. Everyone who watched High School Musical must understand why I call her "memorable". She's like the mean girl, just like Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, but only in Disney version. And now, Disney gave you an adventure with Sharpay in New York City, so for all High School Musical fans, you must watch this movie although you hate Sharpay. Okay???

The story is about Sharpay who wanted to reach her dream by going to New York City. She hoped she could be an amazing actress in Broadway. But actually it wasn't as easy as the way it sounded. Cheesy story of course, but I still love it. I don't want to tell all the stories because it will make you bored when you watch the movie, I just wanted to say I enjoyed this movie. If in High School Musical Series it was all about Troy and Gabriella, now it's time for Sharpay to shine. She had her dream and she was on her way to reach it. Of course, Sharpay is Sharpay. She couldn't leave the "fabulous" word and pink stuff. So, there would be a lot of pink when you watch this movie.

I actually hope there will be all High School Musical cast becoming cameo, but actuallly it's only Ryan Evans. I reallly want to see the cast get reunited but I think it's so hard to reunite them now, because everyone is busy doing their own movie, promoting stuff, and something. I think it's okay because everyone has their own way, so if they can't be together again I totally understand. However, because this movie is the end of High School Musical series, you should watch it. It's fun, fabulous, and it's New York baby!!!!!!!!!

Review : The Social Network

The Social Network was a very brilliant movie. Maybe it's not the movie, but the movie script that made it brilliant. All the dialogs are so genius. Maybe some people will think that this movie is boring and so full of conversation. But I think this movie was impressing. This movie taught a lot of things, especially if you want to be a businessman or entrepreneur. There will be a lot of things that you will face, that can make your life screws up. But let's face it, the inventor of Facebook, Mark, is one of the richest person in the world and he's still 26. With his success Facebook, I'm sure there are a lot of things that he has been going through. In this movie, I could see that this Facebook that he made ruins his friendship and life. As the time goes, Facebook is getting bigger and bigger and it becomes more complicated. Not only the feature that we can get on Facebook, but also Mark's life. However, it's just a movie based on a novel that Mark didn't write himself, so we don't know if the story is exactly like that or not. But if I were Mark, I would feel a little bit offended because this movie showed that Mark a little bit looked like a jerk. However, I think this movie should win an Oscar at least. And Andrew Garfield, the one who played as Eduardo, I guess he deserves an Oscar too for his role here.

One memorable quote from The Social Network :
You are probably going to be a very successful computer person. But you're going to go through life thinking that girls don't like you because you're a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won't be true. It'll be because you're an asshole.

Eclipse Movie Review

Directed by David Slade

Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Bryce Dallas Howard, Billy Burke
Music by Howard Shore
Cinematography Javier Aguirresarobe

Running time 124 minutes
Budget $68,000,000

Have you watched Eclipse? Two days ago I watched it with my best friends. It was fun. I mean it could be our last meeting because some of us take different universities so we will be separated.

However, I think Eclipse was good. I've seen in imdb.com that it got only 3/10. But actually, I think it's not that bad. Of course if I compare it with the novel, the novel is so much better. But, eclipse isn't that bad. It should get at least 7/10. I start to think why a film or celebrity that has loyal fans actually makes some people who aren't big fans start to hate the movie without no reason. For example, Twilight. We all know Twilight has a lot of very loyal fans. The Twilight films always got bad reviews in most of movie reviews sites. So did Miley in The Last Song or Hannah Montana. Her movie, either The Last Song or Hannah Montana got bad ratings too. Like Britney Spears, she has a lot of fans, but she has a lot of haters too.

Eclipse is amazing I think. It's better than Twilight and New Moon. It has so many stories like werewolf legend, Jasper and Rosalie's story, and there are some new vampires, one of them is Riley Biers, played by Xavier Samuel which I think he is a scene stealer for this Eclipse movie. I enjoy the movie. It has more action scenes. More funny scenes. And also more kissing scenes than Twilight and New Moon. The Volturi also shown up in Eclipse, but only in a few scenes. However, I still can't feel the power of Volturi in Eclipse. It also happened when I watched New Moon too. When I read the book, I feel like the Volturi having a very powerful charisma that makes everyone afraid of them. but, in the movie I didn't see that. I hope the Volturi will have a big part in Breaking Dawn.

I really really love this movie!! A lot!!! It was so funny!! I totally fall in love with this movie. This movie has a lot of funny scenes which I think that were really funny, until I could laugh a lot. I have to say that a film like this usually not good in movie critics review and stuff, but I think this movie is very entertaining. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Renolds is a very perfect couple and they seem good for each other. Sandra Bullock's acting is amazing I think. She is so good to play that kind of bossy woman. Ryan Renolds was good too, but not so special I think. I think this movie is well-prepared so there's no boring scenes in this entire movie. Sometimes people just say, this movie is just another chessy movie, but I think it's not that chessy. It's good. And for every guy, maybe you want to watch this. There is a scene when Sandra Bullock was naked. This movie is refreshing, a total fun, highly recommended for you.

Movie Review : Cast Away

"One of the best original idea that I love"

Synopsis :
After FedEx systems engineer Chuck Noland is ripped out of his hasty life by the clock in a plane crash, he finds himself alone on the shores of a tropical island. First, frustration gets to him and then he realizes how little his chances are to ever get back to civilization. Four years later, Chuck has learned very well how to survive on his own: mending his dental health, catching fish with a spear, predicting the weather with a self-made calendar. A photograph of his girlfriend Kelly has kept his hopes alive all these years. Finally, Chuck takes the opportunity to take off for home: He sets off on a wooden raft with a sail that has washed ashore.

I think Cast Away is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The idea is so original. I've seen so many films with the same idea but they made it in different styles, so that they looked different. But, Cast Away is really different. I love the original idea. And the script is awesome I think. This story was original, but also can make a movie boring because the story is about a man who stuck in an island alone. So, if they didn't make a good script. They would totally blow this movie. And they didn't. They did a very good job in this movie. When I watched it, it felt like I enjoyed his adventure. I enjoyed his loliness, how he tried to survive in that island. I have to say that the first part of this movie is a little bit boring. I think it's because I can't wait to the part when he stuck in the island. Tom Hanks is a very good actor. I always love his movies. He played this character very brilliant. Overall, I give a big applause for this movie. Highly recommended.

Movie Review : The Notebook

"Behind every great love is a great story"

Synopsis:

The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.
IMDB.com

The Notebook based on Nicholas Sparks' novel. This is the second movie I watched from Nicholas Sparks. The first is A Walk to Remember which you can read my review here. I gotta say I like this movie. But not too much. I think A Walk to Remember is better than The Notebook. The story began with a very old man read a story to an old woman. So, it means this movie is a kind of flash-back type. Unlike the other love story, I think this movie's story is kinda unpredictable. So, it keeps us watching the movie until the end because we want to know the ending. The Notebook generally is a story about how a man loved a woman very very very much, from the first time they met, they were together, then separated, then together again. I'm sure if a woman could have a man like this, she would be the luckiest woman on earth. I know this movie had a very great story, but sometimes I feel like I didn't get the chemistry when I watched this movie. I think there was something missing in this movie. I don't know what it is. But maybe you can find it if you read the novel. Maybe felt a little dissappointed because I expect to much for this movie, after I saw A Walk to Remember. Rachel McAdams looked beautiful in this movie, also her acting was okay, so did Ryan Gosling. I can't say it is recommended film or not, but I say if you watch this, it's worth it. The Notebook is a good movie.

Movie Review : (500) Days of Summer

(500) Days of Summer. I think this is the best romance-drama movie in 2009. I love it a lot!!! Although the tagline is "This is not a love story", but I feel a lot of love here. I adore the director, Marc Webb, who can make a simple story in a different way. It makes this movie so special. Unlike the other love story. Zoey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-levitt was a perfect couple. I don't think this film will be success if Zoey and Gordon-levitt aren't in this movie. Some scenes will make you laugh, some scenes will make you sad, some scenes will make you feel happy. (500) Days of Summer is a breakthrough drama movie. I never watched a drama movie like this before. I like the different style that the director used to create this movie. It feels so unique. Watch it! Highly recommended!

Movie Review : A Walk to Remember

"Find out who you are and do it on purpose"

Actually, it's kinda late for me to watch this movie in 2010. But, like people say, better late than never. So, I finally watched it and I thought that was a good decision. This film was made in 2002. It has been 8 years. I was 9 at that time. That explained why I didn't know that movie at that time. I was a kid.

So, talk about the movie. A Walk to Remember based on Nicholas Sparks' novel with the same title. I never read the book before, so I won't compare my review with the book. A walk to remember was very touching. I loved this movie. It taught me a lot. If you haven't seen it, you must see it! Actually, the story was cliche. A popular boy who fell in love with unpopular girl who actually had leukemia. But, the movie told the story in a very good way. Touchy, romantic, sad, friendship, love, forgiveness, family relationship, it's all there. Adam Shankman, who was the director of this movie, is one of my favorite directors. He knew how to make a simple story becomes an unforgettable movie. Mandy Moore and Shane West was a perfect couple. I could feel the chemistry in this movie. Also I loved when Mandy Moore sang in this movie. She had a great voice I thought. For me, this movie told us about anything. Find out who we really are, try not to give up on what we have got, learn about love, family, and friendship. Last word, watch this movie, you won't be disappointed.

Movie Review : Bandslam

"Do we ready to rock?"

Synopsis :
When gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banks (Michalka) asks new kid in town Will Burton (Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Porter), at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands.

Against all odds, their band develops a sound all its own with a real shot at success in the contest. Meanwhile, romance brews between Will and Sa5m (Hudgens), who plays a mean guitar and has a voice to die for. When disaster strikes, its time for the band to make a choice: Do they admit defeat, or face the music and stand up for what they believe in?

I have to agree that I love this kind of movies. I like musical-drama films. It also happens when I watched Bandslam. It's a good film for teens. I enjoyed this movie. Of course, the reason I watched this movie was because of Vanessa Hudgens was in this movie. I can say that I'm a fan of her. Actually Bandslam is just like another movies such as Step Up, Make it Happens, and the others. But, this film is better. Story about an unpopular boy managed a band seems cliche. But, why do you want to watch movie? To have fun, of course. So, just enjoy this movie. This movie has some funny scenes which made me laugh. You'll know what it is when you watch Bandslam. It's not the best musical film but it's worth-watching. Also, Vanessa's voice is so damn good! Gaelan Connell who played Will Burton was good too. I'm kinda disappointed with this movie because Vanessa only sang one song. I thought Vanessa will sing many songs, but actually that didn't happen. Overall, I suggest you to watch this movie. It's very enjoyable.

Movie Review : Hachiko a dog's story

"A Dog's Story Masterpiece"

Synopsis :
An American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

Be sure to prepare tissue before you watch this, because you will drop a lot of tears. That's what my friend said when she lent me this movie. okay, I watched it, but I wasn't crying. Is it just me don't have heart or people are too much?

Don't think about that right now. This movie was amazing. I ♥ it! I think this is one is a masterpiece of a dog's story. Hachiko taught us about faith, loyalty, and kindness. Although I didn't drop any tears when I watched this, I would like to say this is a very touching Even a dog could be very loyal to its master. How about you people? And FYI, this movie based on a real story in Japan and now the Japanese people built a Hachiko statue at the location where Hachiko always waited for his master to come home.

Richard Gere played very great as a professor-dog owner. He always knows how to put himself into a character. I don't think this movie will be good if the actor isn't Richard Gere. He had a very great connection with Hachiko. The movie felt so natural with Richard Gere in it.
