Synopsis :
It's 1954, and up-and-coming U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital. He's been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons, but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything - his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.

I've never watched a film like Shutter Island before. One word for this movie : smart. If you don't like twisted ending movie, you better skip this movie. Shutter Island is a manipulative film, full of psychology and brain manipulation to the watchers. Some people say it's boring. But, not for me. I enjoyed Shutter Island although I haven't watched a film with genre like this. Shutter Island can manipulate my brain, I think. When you watch this, you will find the missing parts of the shutter island one by one. Leonardo diCaprio was very good in this movie. There's no doubt for his acting ability. I think he's getting better and better. The other cast were good too. All of people in Shutter Island played very good until we can feel like the Shutter Island was real. In fact, when I finished watching this movie, I still thought, "is this me watching Shutter Island or it's my imagination only?" And I'm sure many people will think the same as mine. It's because of the brain manipulation that the director brought to that movie. So, if you don't want to be crazy, don't watch the movie because Shutter Island will drive you crazy.
